| Billy Rood is a storyteller, photographer, with the sensibilities of a playwright, a filmmaker, a stage director, and even the instincts of an entertainment artist. He is committed to artistic integrity, non-conforming to standard techniques, creative consciousness of a supportive team, an energy and buzz that influences standards of ingenious and innovative ideas and concepts, and he strives to inspire others with his work and relationships.
He is dedicated to be an image maker and is inspired by such artists as Nick Knight, Paolo Roversi, Steven Meisel, Irving Penn, Lillian Bassman, Steven Klein, Glen Luchford, David Fincher, Stanley Kubrick, Steven Speilberg, Alexander McQueen, Hitchcock & Darren Aronofsky to name a few.
He is a Junior Board Member of the Chicago International Film Festival and independent filmmaker. He hopes to bring back more filmmaking in Chicago and to create a community of influential filmmakers.
