This was my first shoot working with Tania. We definitely wanted to accomplish a lot with 3 models and multiple looks. But I also decided to shoot at Lumen because of the beautiful natural light that comes in through the frosted windows. So I wanted to cover some beauty shots for my portfolio and also shoot some 35mm black and white film. I mean who wouldn't?! This was much more of a commercial shoot. I lit everything softly and used some harsh shadows for Jason the male model to define his body. But overall I lit everything softly and brightly for a commercial look and had some fun technically with the film. If I could I would shoot everything in film for the emotional texture it gives to the photos, but again digital gives a certain instant gratification.

I took a more sensitive approach to shooting and did some directing but also let the models just be and play within the camera. I believe some of the photos of Jason (male model) were used to sign him to ELITE the following week. He worked with Tania previously and she brought him to the shoot…I think he was an "accountant" before.
